GEORGETOWN, Texas (Nov. 9, 2011) – Suddenlink announced today it has launched more high-definition (HD) TV channels in Georgetown, Leander and Pflugerville. The new HD channels include: The Hub HD, QVC HD, GSN HD, HSN HD, OWN HD, Fuel HD, Planet Green HD, Investigation Discovery HD, BBC America HD, The Weather Channel HD, HBO2 HD, HBO Comedy HD, HBO Latino HD, The Movie Channel HD, Starz Comedy HD and Hallmark Movie Channel HD. HDTV offers a widescreen format, similar to a movie theater, with distinctly sharper images and better sound quality than standard TV.

Introducing more new HD channels is the latest step in the company’s nationwide capital investment program, calling for approximately $350 million over three years, above and beyond Suddenlink’s traditional capital spending levels. The program already has brought other new HD channels and increased speeds of existing Internet, including High Speed Internet MAX 107.0 service, featuring a download speed up to 107 megabits per second (Mbps).
