Upgrade Is Part of Ongoing Investment Program

SAN ANGELO, Texas (May 10, 2012) – Suddenlink today announced it has begun offering its new High Speed Internet MAX 50.0 service in San Angelo, featuring a download speed of up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps), the fastest residential service in the area.

Earlier, the company introduced an up to 20 Mbps service and increased the speeds of its other Internet services.  MAX 50.0 is enabled by Suddenlink’s deployment of industry leading technology called DOCSIS 3.0.  Suddenlink believes it is the only Internet service provider using this technology in its local service area.

The company will continue to offer its full range of Internet speed choices to meet customers’ specific needs in San Angelo.

The introduction of MAX 50.0 service is the latest step in the company’s previously announced nationwide capital investment program, calling for approximately $350 million over three years, above and beyond Suddenlink’s traditional capital spending levels.  Along with faster Internet speeds, that program also has delivered more high-definition (HD) channels to San Angelo customers.

More information about local Suddenlink services is available by visiting the company’s website (suddenlink.com) and entering an address and zip code, or by visiting Suddenlink’s local customer care office at 4272 W. Houston Harte Expressway in San Angelo.
