May 2, 2013 – (Laredo, Texas) – Time Warner Cable is celebrating the Grand Opening of its new “Experience Store” in Laredo, Texas, Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 11 a.m. The new customer-centric store located at 2438 Monarch Drive, is Time Warner Cable’s second such store to open in Texas.  The concept provides visitors with an enhanced, interactive experience surrounding the company’s array of Digital TV, Internet and Home Phone products.

“It’s okay to touch the merchandise.  In fact, we encourage it,” said Brad Wakely, Area Vice President of Operations for South Texas.  “Our new stores provide a hands-on experience for those who want to try out our products and services.”

The new Laredo store welcomes guests with an “open floor to explore”, so visitors can discover all that Time Warner Cable has to offer.  Customers can walk, talk, touch and feel their way through interactive demonstrations, including the TWC TVTM app, which allows them to stream live TV to their mobile devices.

While the new Laredo store offers a virtual product playground, it also provides traditional services, and customers can still drop off and pick up equipment or pay their bills at an electronic kiosk.  In addition to the new space, visitors can continue to expect exceptional customer service by knowledgeable Time Warner Cable associates who are on hand to help everyone “Enjoy Better.”

“I am delighted that Time Warner Cable is opening a new location in Laredo that will prioritize customer service and product demonstrations,” Texas State Senator Judith Zaffirini said. “By making its services accessible to more Laredoans, Time Warner Cable continues to demonstrate its commitment to our community.”

“We welcome this new store concept and are excited Time Warner Cable continues to invest in Laredo to bring innovative technology and service to our community,” said Miguel Conchas, president and CEO of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce.  “The Laredo Chamber of Commerce celebrates and advocates for businesses in Laredo and we’re proud to be included in this grand opening celebration.”
