Fort Worth customers receive new feature free of charge

FORT WORTH, Texas – Charter customers in Fort Worth can now view incoming caller information on their TV screens.

Charter’s Caller ID on TV is being offered free of charge to residential customers who have a Charter Phone package that includes the Caller ID function and a digital receiver from Charter.

With caller ID on TV, customers can easily turn the service on and off; change the location of the pop-up screen on the TV; determine the amount of time caller alerts appear on the screen; set the “snooze” function for a pre-defined length of time and view information about recent inbound calls.

“Charter Caller ID on TV is another value-added service that enables our customers to have more control over their communications experience,” said Kevin Allen, vice president and general manager for Charter in Texas. “This technology enables customers to see who is calling without having to get up and search for their phone. It helps make life a little easier.”

Caller ID on TV will appear automatically for customers who qualify with Charter Phone and Charter Digital TV service. Charter plans to introduce the feature in the company’s other service areas in the near future.
