Austin Middle School Celebrates Take a Veteran to School Day

Local Veterans Will Be Honored Thursday at the School

Students and faculty members will honor hometown heroes at a Take a Veteran to School Day program at Amarillo’s Austin Middle School, Thursday, Nov. 6. The Take a Veteran to School Day project is part of a national initiative by the History Channel and Suddenlink, which provides cable services in Amarillo.   A formal program will be presented at an assembly in the school auditorium, followed by lunch in the gym.
