TIME WARNER CABLE NEWS SAN ANTONIO TO PRESENT THE MAYORAL RUNOFF DEBATE LIVE ON MAY 28TH AT 7:00 PM

TWC News San Antonio, The University of Texas at San Antonio and San Antonio Express-News to Co-Host the Live Debate Debate to Air Live on Channel 14 and 200 on TWC News San Antonio

New York, NY, May 19, 2015 –Time Warner Cable News San Antonio (TWC News San Antonio) today announced it will co-host and televise a live mayoral runoff debate on Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. on channel 14 and 200, twcnews.com, and via the TWC News app. The network will co-host the only televised debate – featuring current mayor Ivy Taylor (D.) and former State Senator Leticia Van de Putte (D.) – with The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the San Antonio Express-News.

Associate Dean of the College of Public Policy at UTSA, Francine Romero, will moderate the runoff debate in front of a live audience at the Buena Vista Theater – on the UTSA’s downtown campus. TWC News reporter Annette Garcia and Express-News columnist Gilbert Garcia will serve as panelists. The candidates will square off on the key issues facing the city of San Antonio. TWC News San Antonio will be the only network to televise a live mayoral debate before the city elections on Saturday, June 13th.

Press will be allowed to cover the debate at the Buena Vista Theater. The debate will be available via FTP site for use with the Time Warner Cable News courtesy. Video footage will be embargoed until 7:30 p.m.

TWC News San Antonio will re-air the mayoral runoff debate on Sunday, May 31st at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3rd at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7th at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. and Friday, June 12th at 8:00 p.m. Viewers can follow TWC News San Antonio’s coverage of the debate on Twitter at @TWCNewsSA.
