Economic Investment

Home / Cable Connects Texans / Economic Investment

Cable’s investment of billions of dollars in private capital has revolutionized the communications landscape in Texas. Massive upgrades have transformed one-way analog video networks into two-way broadband platforms capable of offering digital, interactive and on-demand television services, as well as high-speed Internet, digital telephone, and other information services.

These upgrade investments of private risk capital have been made with no incentives, subsidies, or government guarantees.

Unlike other technology providers who pick and choose the customers they wish to service, cable delivers advanced products to all its customers in a particular network. With cable, residents of a small town can enjoy the same technology as those in the largest cities.
