On Tuesday, February 19, 2013, cable company employees and programmers will be in Austin to showcase the latest cable technologies and to educate legislators about issues of importance to the industry.
During the day cable company representatives will be visiting Capitol offices to meet with legislators and discuss key industry issues.
In the evening there will also be a special reception for Texas legislators and staff at 6:30 p.m. at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum featuring hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, live music by legend Joe Ely and a touch of tech.
The reception theme is Tunes & Tech and features interactive technology displays by Texas Cable Companies (Time Warner Cable, Comcast/Xfinnity and Suddenlink) as well as exciting programming displays from representatives from Disney Channel, ESPN, Bloomberg HD, Discovery Channel, TV One, A&E TV Networks and the Outdoor Channel.
