Gallego Recognizes Uvalde High School Students for Honorable Mention on C-SPAN’S Video Documentary Competition

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Pete P. Gallego (D-Alpine) congratulated Sarah Vasquez and Ramiro Rubio, seniors at Uvalde High School in Uvalde, Texas, for winning Honorable Mention in C-SPAN’s national 2014 StudentCam competition. The students will receive $250 for their documentary, “A Message to the U.S. Congress: Cyber Security in the year 2014,” about cyber security.

Texas Cable Operators and HISTORY® Honor Military Veterans

Texas cable operators, with support from the Texas Cable Association (TCA), are honoring veterans this month and helping tell their stories to Texas schoolchildren as part of HISTORY’s Take a Veteran to School educational initiative. A number of Texas legislators and other elected officials are expected to participate in programs held in their local communities.
