Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) customers in Denton and Rockwall will soon enjoy access to more than 140 high definition (HD) channels as part of an all-digital upgrade to Charter’s North Texas network. In December, Charter will begin clearing all analog signals from its local network, making way to add 90 new HD channels in Denton along with 85 new HD offerings in Rockwall. Customers in both communities will have access to more than 140 HD channels once Charter completes its move to an all-digital network.

Time Warner Cable today announced that all calls placed by its Home Phone and Business Services customers to landline and mobile numbers in the Philippines will be free through November 30th, and is retroactive for all calls placed since November 8th.

The Take a Veteran to School program provides a way for students to learn more about the history of Veterans Day and about the experiences of veterans from all backgrounds and walks of life. It is sponsored by History and Suddenlink, which provides cable services in Lubbock.

The Take a Veteran to School program provides a way for students to learn more about the history of Veterans Day and about the experiences of veterans from all backgrounds and walks of life. It is sponsored by History and Suddenlink, which provides cable services in Georgetown.

Mayor Jason Bienski, District 14 Rep. John Raney, Sen. Charles Schwertner’s District Representative Hayden Paul, Deputy District Director James Edge and VFW Post 4692 Commander John Velasquez will help Suddenlink honor local veterans, including Suddenlink employees, at a Nov. 11 “Thank a Veteran at Work” program.

The Take a Veteran to School program provides a way for students to learn more about the history of Veterans Day and about the experiences of veterans from all backgrounds and walks of life. It is sponsored by History and Suddenlink, which provides cable services in San Angelo.

Students and faculty members will honor hometown heroes at a Take a Veteran to School Day program at Amarillo’s Austin Middle School, Thursday, Nov. 7. The Take a Veteran to School program provides a way for students to learn more about the history of Veterans Day and about the experiences of veterans from all backgrounds and walks of life. It is sponsored by cable network History and Suddenlink, which provides cable services in Amarillo. A formal program will be presented at an assembly in the school auditorium, followed by lunch in the gym and a commemorative Air Force fly-over.

Suddenlink announced today it has launched more than 35 new high-definition (HD) TV channels in 19 Dallas area communities: Anna, Aubrey, Balch Springs, Celina, Fate, Forney, Heath, Krum, Little Elm, McClendon-Chisholm, Melissa, Pilot Point, Prosper, Rockwall, Royse City, Sanger, Seagoville, Talty and Terrell.

Cable ONE has organized a special event as part of HISTORY’s “Take a Veteran to School Day” outreach initiative, which will take place on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Blaschke Sheldon Elementary School in Ingleside, TX. Military veterans will attend this event to share their stories with 5th and 6th graders and to receive a heartfelt “thank you” for their service. Representative J.M. Lozano and Senator Judith Zaffirini will also be in attendance at this special event.
