Austin Middle School Celebrates Take a Veteran to School Day
Local Veterans Will Be Honored Wednesday at the School
State Representative Walter “Four” Price and Amarillo Mayor Paul Harpole will join students and faculty members in honoring hometown heroes at a Take a Veteran to School Day program at Amarillo’s Austin Middle School, Wednesday, Nov. 7. The Take a Veteran to School Day project is part of a national initiative by the History Channel and Suddenlink Communications, which provides cable services in Amarillo. A formal program will be presented at an assembly in the school auditorium, followed by lunch in the gym.
