Jane Long Middle School Celebrates Take a Veteran to School Day

Local veterans will be honored at a Take a Veteran to School program at Bryan’s Jane Long Middle School, Friday, Nov. 11. The Take a Veteran to School Day project is part of a national initiative by the History Channel and Suddenlink Communications, which provides cable services in Bryan.

Take a Veteran to School programs provide a way for students to learn more about the history of Veterans Day and about the experiences of veterans from all backgrounds and walks of life.

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will provide breakfast for the honored veterans and the school band will perform during an assembly to follow.

When: Friday, Nov. 11 – 9 a.m.

Where: Jane Long Middle School, 1106 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy.
