HUNTSVILLE, Texas (Oct. 12, 2011) – Suddenlink announced today that it has completed work on a major investment program in Huntsville  that has resulted in more high-definition (HD) TV channels and an all-digital TV lineup.

The improvements have been completed as a local part of a larger, three-year, companywide program that calls for approximately $350 million of capital investments above and beyond the company’s traditional capital spending levels.

In the process, Suddenlink added a host of new HD and standard-definition channels to the Huntsville lineup. More new HD channels have been added this week. They include: Oxygen HD, History International HD, Biography Channel HD, WE tv HD, Fuse HD, Fox Soccer Channel HD, Independent Film Channel HD, HBO2 HD, HBO Comedy HD, Starz Comedy HD and Fox Business Network HD. .

The upgrade is part of a larger, three-year, companywide program that calls for approximately $350 million of capital investments above and beyond traditional capital spending levels. Earlier this year, that program brought faster Internet speeds to Huntsville, including High Speed Internet 20.0, which features a download speed of up to 20 Megabits per second (Mbps) and is believed to be the fastest residential Internet service in the area.

Suddenlink also announced it has completed the transition to an all-digital lineup in Huntsville.  Digital TV offers superior picture and sound quality.
