More HD Channels Also Added as Part of Investment Program

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas (Aug. 11, 2011) – Suddenlink announced today that it has begun offering its new High Speed Internet MAX 50.0 service in Sulphur Springs. The new service is the fastest residential high speed Internet service in the community.  MAX 50.0 features a download speed of up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps).

Last year, Suddenlink introduced High Speed Internet 20.0 service in Sulphur Springs, featuring a download speed of up to 20 Mbps. It also increased the download speeds of its other Internet services to 1.5, 10 and 15 Mbps, respectively, and renamed them accordingly:  Suddenlink High Speed Internet 1.5, 10.0 and 15.0.

MAX 50.0 is enabled by Suddenlink’s deployment of industry leading technology called DOCSIS 3.0. Suddenlink believes it is the only Internet service provider using this technology in its local service area.

The MAX 50.0 launch is the latest step in the company’s previously announced nationwide capital investment program, calling for approximately $350 million over three years, above and beyond Suddenlink’s traditional capital spending levels. Along with faster Internet speeds, the program already has brought more new high-definition (HD) TV channels to Sulphur Springs.

Suddenlink also announced today it has completed the transition to an all-digital lineup in Sulphur Springs. Digital TV offers superior picture and sound quality. Since April, Suddenlink has converted Sulphur Springs customers to all-digital viewing neighborhood by neighborhood, and, in the process, added a host of new HD and standard-definition channels to its lineup.  More new HD channels have been added this week.

They include: KXTX HD (Telemundo), Disney XD HD, Science HD, History International HD, Biography HD, Oxygen HD, WE tv HD, Fox Business Network HD, Fuse HD, IFC HD, HBO2 HD, HBO Comedy HD and  Starz Comedy HD,

More information about Suddenlink services can be found by visiting the company’s website suddenlink.com and entering an address and zip code; by visiting Suddenlink’s local office at 220 Linda Drive in Sulphur Springs; or by calling toll-free 1-888-822-5151.
