TEXAS CABLE OPERATOR HONORED FOR COMMUNICATIONS EXCELLENCE
National awards recognize commitment to community during TCA’s 50th anniversary
Time Warner Cable’s Texas Communications team brought home three Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) Beacon Awards at the ACC’s recent annual conference.
The national awards are just one example of the excellence in cable communications and public affairs practiced by cable operators in Texas for more than 50 years. The Beacon Awards also represent outstanding cable company initiatives implemented over the past year.
The Texas Cable Association is highlighting and lauding cable’s community contributions during the association’s 50th anniversary year.
“Texas’ cable operators do a terrific job at keeping us informed about educational initiatives, innovative technology and other community events and services,” said Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. “Congratulations to Time Warner’s Texas communicators on their well-deserved, prestigious awards,”
“The awards symbolize not only the great work Time Warner’s team does on large-scale launch events and campaigns, but also on a day-to-day basis.,” said Jon Gary Herrera, regional vice president of communications for Time Warner Cable Texas and a member of the Texas Cable Association’s Board of Directors. “We think our work is representative of the great lengths all Texas cable operators go to serve their customers and to help make their communities a better place to live and work.”
