Kemp-Carver Elementary School Celebrates Take a Veteran to School Day

Local Veterans Will Be Honored Thursday at the School

City of Bryan officials, Brazos County Commissioners and other guests will join students and faculty members in honoring hometown heroes at a Take a Veteran to School Day program at Kemp-Carver Elementary School, Thursday, Nov. 12. The program will feature patriotic musical performances by the students and a slideshow recognizing staff members and students’ family members who serve or have served in the U.S. Military. The Take a Veteran to School Day project is part of a national initiative by the History Channel and Suddenlink, which provides cable services in Bryan-College Station.
