Social Media Highlights

Just a few of the items we have posted on our social media channels lately. Visit us on Twitter and Facebook to see more posts and to link to these articles.

  • More and more Americans are taking up a new type of multitasking: surfing the Internet while watching TV. Nearly 85% of Internet users surf the Web on a mobile device while they’re watching TV at least once per month. Do you?
  • National Cable & Telecommunications Association explains why it has filed comments opposing the set-top box proposal from the Federal Communications Commission. “The FCC’s set-top box mandate threatens to harm competition and innovation by strong-arming pay TV providers into giving away for free valuable programming to third parties, for them to rearrange, repurpose and monetize without responsibilities or obligations.”
  • The official press release on the completed merger transaction between Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable.
  • Top U.S. cable operators added >1M broadband subscribers in 2016 Q1 — the third time in the past five quarters that cable companies have added over a million net broadband subscribers.
